COVID policy overview for kids
1. Parents should be doing a daily symptom check at home before departing for the program. Symptoms to look out for are as follows:
- A fever of 100.4 or higher
- A cough that cannot be attributed to another health condition
- Shortness of breath that cannot be attributed to another health condition
- Chills that cannot be attributed to another health condition
- Muscle aches that cannot be attribute to another health condition or activity (like exercise)
- Loss of tase and/or smell that cannot be attributed to another health condition
- If any of the people in their household have any of the above signs or symptoms
- If they have traveled outside of the state or out of the country within 14 days
- If anyone in their household has been diagnosed with COVID
- If they were potentially exposed to COVID and are asymptomatic
- Option 1-stay at home from program for a total of 10 days from the point symptoms first appeared, and at least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since recovery (defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever reducing medications and improvement of any respiratory symptoms).
- Option 2- Get a doctor’s note that attributes the fever/symptoms to something other than COVID (Then obviously take appropriate precautions before sending your kids back to us with some other communicable illness).
- Option 3- Get a COVID test that proves the student does not have COVID
